There’s something about summer in the Okanagan that just feels different. Long days. Warm evenings. Kids in and out of the water. The kind of time that doesn’t feel rushed. It’s the reason I started offering camping sessions at Fintry Provincial Park.
Why Camping Sessions?
I spend a lot of time at Fintry.
Walks through the campground, time at the beach, watching families settle into their summer routines.
Over time, I kept noticing the same thing:
The best moments weren’t posed.
They were happening naturally.
Fishing off the dock.
Paddleboards drifting in the water.
Kids running barefoot through the campground.
Marshmallows roasting as the sun starts to dip.
That’s where this idea came from.
Instead of worrying about perfection, they lean into the experience. Kids play. Parents relax. Moments unfold naturally. Over time, that familiarity creates space for deeper connection and more authentic images.
